  • North Mass Boulder - If you’re into indoor rock climbing, this is the place to be! They also offer other workout classes like yoga and a fitness studio

  • The Fowling Warehouse - Fowling is like football and bowling had a baby, and it’s perfect for a first date or when friends from out of town are visiting

TO DRINK

  • Indiana City Brewing - If you drive down Washington St., you won’t miss this brewery’s mural. Indiana City is known for craft beer with lots of flavor.

  • Ash and Elm Cider - Ash and Elm has a new and improved location serving up local cider and a new extensive food menu.

  • Neidhammer Coffee - The Neidhammer has quintessential coffee shop vibes and a great seasonal menu, the space is cozy and inviting. There’s also ample space for events.

  • Mayfair Taproom - Owned by the same people who brought you Broad Ripple Brewpub, the Mayfair Taproom has over 30 beers on tap and is a great place to try some new brews.

  • Rabble Coffee - Rabble is a pillar of the Near Eastside and has an amazing clove miel, they are all about community engagement and caring about their neighbors.

  • 18th St Brewery - This is one of my favorite spots, the beer is good but the absolute must-try is their ramen + whiskey deal every Saturday

  • 8th Day Distillery - One of the best distilleries in town with a great cocktail menu and bottles you can purchase take home.

TO EAT

  • King Dough - Handcrafted pizzas with fresh ingredients are King Dough’s specialty and this Holy Cross staple is a great spot for a quick date night.

  • Tlaolli - This spot has some of the best authentic tamales I’ve every tried, and their tacos are great, too!

  • Beholder - Beholder provides the Near Eastside with fine dining and high end cuisine from the people that brought us Milktooth. Be sure to try their wines, they’ve been voted one of the top 100 wine restaurants.

  • Gomez BBQ - While the BBQ may be good, Gomez actually has an amazing brunch menu with hand crafted espresso based drinks.

  • Amelia’s Windsor Park - Amelia’s second location has the same baked goods you know and love, with espresso drinks and gelato as well!

  • The Brasserie - The Brasserie is located inside the Kan-Kan Cinema and has a European inspired menu from Chef Abbi Merriss who brought all the goodness to Bluebeard.

  • Top Out Cafe - Located inside North Mass Boulder, Top Out Cafe provides healthy hearty options for those done with a climb or just wanting an acai bowl. They also have local beers on tap for celebrating those PRs!

  • La Parada - Some of the best authentic food in the city and some would arguably say they also have the best birria tacos around.

  • Futuro - If you’re a fellow deep disher, Futuro is the place for you. This Detroit style pizza is saucy and crispy and all kinds of delicious.

  • 10th Street Diner - This is one of the best spots for those who are vegan and plant-based! They have a variety of options for everyone.
