Indianapolis Thrift Stores and Second Hand Shops Guide Pt. 2

Indy is full of amazing thrift stores and second hand shops, so I thought I’d bring y’all a part two of a guide you can use to become the best thrifter in the city. It’s so important to shop secondhand, especially with the impact fast fashion can have on the planet. By thrifting in Indy, you’re supporting local and doing good for our community and environment, plus you can still look on trend!

Lux and Ivy - The newly renovated and rebranded space on 54th and Monon is a beautiful testament to the work Sara has put into her space. This carefully curated collection of thrifted items is always on point and now they even offer consignment buying for your gently used items.

Nuova Vita Vintage - This online shop turned brick and mortar is Macey Schumacher’s pride and joy. She curates classic, timeless vintage that leans very business casual, perfect for those looking for affordable workwear or dresses and jackets for any occasion. Her shop is located downtown on Pennsylvania St. across from Central Library

Zodiac Vintage - Located on one of the most exciting blocks in Fountain Square, Zodiac Vintage curates a collection of western inspired wear, cozy flannels and knits, and some of the best selection of quality jeans in the city.

Midland Arts & Antiques - This gigantic warehouse is bursting with antique vintage goodness. Located on the near eastside of Mile Square, you can’t miss this when driving by on the highway. Spend hours on a cozy fall day exploring all of the treasures and take them home for yourself.

Notorious Vintage - Tori has curated an amazing array of vintage clothing and home goods inside of Indy Retro Metro in the Broad Ripple area. Find unique pieces that won’t be found anywhere else, Notorious Vintage is the perfect place to search for pieces that help you express your style.

Lone Wolf Vintage - This is one of my favorite online shops and I love seeing them at local markets and pop ups around the city. Courtney curates western wear and Harley Davidson vintage pieces that keep you edgy and still on trend. Keep an eye out for her drops and story sales on Instagram.

Sixways Markets - It seems like thrift markets have taken Indy by storm, and the annual This Must Be It from Sixways Market has found ground at the downtown Sun King, gathering over one hundred local thrift vendors, artisans, and makers into one space for one weekend. They also have other pop up markets in the area throughout the year.

Mama Ochre - Recently featured in PATTERN, Gretchen of Mama Ochre specializes in milk paint and sustainable clothing. Items are always small batch and ethically sourced and you can find her unique pieces at Lux and Ivy in Broad Ripple or online.
