Summertime Sipping: Light and Refreshing Cocktails

Summer is hands down my favorite season! I love spending time outside working on my tan, doing fun activities like swimming and eating out on patios, and there’s nothing like a fresh and tasty cocktail to make summertime that much sweeter. I’m sharing some of my favorite go-to cocktail recipes that are perfect for staying cool and having some fun this summer, so let me know if you try them out!

Gin

Grapefruit Elderflower Gin Cocktail with Fizzy Kombucha

  • 1.5 oz. Gin

  • 1 oz. St. Germain

  • 3 oz. Grapefruit Juice

  • 1 oz. Lime Juice

  • 2 oz. Ginger Kombucha

Steps:

  1. Add all ingredients except kombucha into a shaker and shake until the outside is cold.

  2. Pour into a stemless wine glass or cup and then top off with kombucha. This can be garnished with mint leaves or slices of grapefruit.

Tequila

Watermelon Margaritas

Ingredients:

  • 1 shot Tequila

  • 1/2 shot Triple Sec

  • 1/2 small Watermelon

  • Ice

Steps:

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend for 20 seconds a couple of times.

  2. Coat rim of glass with simple syrup and either salt or sugar and pour blended mixture in and enjoy! Garnish with a chunk or two of watermelon.

Rosé

Rose and Rosé Bourbon Cocktail

  • 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

  • 2 oz. Whiskey

  • 2 oz. Grapefruit Juice

  • Rosé

  • Sparkling Water

Steps:

  1. Combine all ingredients except for the rosé and the sparkling water into a shaker with ice and shake until the outside is cold.

  2. Pour into a whiskey glass and top with equal parts of rosé and sparkling water and serve.
