Fall Flavored Cocktails
Fall isn’t my absolute favorite season (summer lover over here) but one of the things I do love about fall is the FLAVORS! Pumpkin spice, apple cider, cinnamon and more are some of the coziest flavors and you’ll definitely find me sipping on one of these 3 fall flavored drinks below while indulging in some vegan chili or butternut squash soup. I’ve found recipes that include all the fall flavors and use spirits like whiskey, rum, and pumpkin beer to add an extra something to your fall beverage.
#IndyKeepsCreating Cocktail
Collab with Indy Arts Council and West Fork Whiskey
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. bourbon
2 oz. apple cider
0.5 oz. lemon juice
0.5 oz. maple syrup
1 dash of bitters
Cinnamon stick
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, and serve either hot or cold.
Pumpkin Beer Cocktail
From Best Day of the Week
Ingredients for the drink:
1 oz. of rye or whiskey
1/2 oz of cinnamon simple syrup (recipe below), or to taste
2 oz of apple cider
1 pumpkin beer (I used Tapolantern from The Tap)
Cinnamon sugar (optional, for the rim)
Ingredients for the cinnamon simple syrup:
4 cinnamon sticks
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of water
Directions:
Add the rye, cinnamon simple syrup and apple cider to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
If you choose to put a cinnamon sugar rim on your glass, then take a lemon wedge and glide it around the edge of your glass or fill a bowl with enough water that you can dip the rim of the glass in it. Then dip the wetted rim of the glass into a pile cinnamon sugar and turn the glass lightly around, so that the entire rim is covered.
Add the contents of the cocktail shaker to a glass. Top with pumpkin beer.
